Privacy Policy
We keep it simple: we collect the little we need to send your receipt and run the board, we never sell your data, and we don't take custody of your money. Here's exactly what that means.
This Privacy Policy explains how helpmestack.com (the "Site") collects, uses, and protects personal information. It is written to align with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). The Site is operated by its owner, Kailin, based in South Africa (the "Responsible Party").

01 What we collect
| Information | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address | To send your payment receipt and, if needed, to contact you about your claim (e.g. an underpayment). |
| Display name (and optional message, link, image) | This is the content you choose to show publicly on your square. Please don't put anything private here. |
| Bitcoin address & on-chain payment data | A unique receive address is generated for your claim; we read the public Bitcoin blockchain to confirm payment. |
| Basic technical data (e.g. IP address, request time) | Used briefly to prevent abuse and spam reservations, and handled by our infrastructure provider for security and delivery. |
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not collect payment card details — payment is made in bitcoin directly from your own wallet.
Your display name, message, link, and image are public — they appear on the board for anyone to see. Your email address and technical data are private and are not displayed on the board or shared for marketing.
02 How we use your information
- To confirm your bitcoin payment and mark your square as claimed.
- To send your receipt and any necessary transactional messages about your claim.
- To display the content you chose to publish on your square.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We rely on your provision of information to fulfil your claim, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the Site. We will only use your information for the purposes described here.
03 Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site, and only as needed:
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, storage, and security for the Site.
- Our email / CRM provider (GoHighLevel) — to store your contact record and deliver your receipt email.
- The public Bitcoin network — payment data is inherently public and on-chain; we read it via a public block explorer to confirm payments.
These providers may process data outside South Africa. We take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled with appropriate protection. We may also disclose information where required by law.
04 How long we keep it
Because a square is intended to be permanent, the public content on your square (name, message, link, image) and the record of your claim are kept for as long as the board exists. Your email is retained while your claim is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and record-keeping, unless you ask us to delete it and we have no legal reason to keep it.
05 How we protect it
We use reputable infrastructure with encryption in transit, restrict access to personal information, and store secrets (such as wallet keys) securely and separately from the Site's code. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
06 Your rights under POPIA
Subject to the law, you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and request access to it;
- ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate;
- ask us to delete your email or other personal data where we have no legal basis to keep it;
- object to certain processing; and
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
To exercise any of these, email kailinte7@gmail.com. Note that public content on a claimed square may be removed on request, but a record that the square was claimed may be retained. You can contact the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
07 Cookies & tracking
The Site uses only what's necessary to function and to keep it secure. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing cookies on the board. Our infrastructure provider may set essential cookies or process limited technical data to protect the Site from abuse.
08 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
